Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 6, 2026

At Trusted Tools Web, accessible from https://trustedtoolsweb.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Trusted Tools Web and how we use it.

Core Philosophy: Unlike other websites, our tools are built with "Client-Side" technology. This means your files, images, and texts never leave your device. The processing happens locally in your browser.

1. Information We Collect

Since we do not require user registration, we do not collect personal identifiable information (PII) like your name, address, or phone number directly.

However, like any other website hosting service, standard log files are generated. These files verify site integrity and may include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
  • Browser type and version
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP)
  • Date and time stamp
  • Referring/exit pages

2. Cookies and Web Beacons

Trusted Tools Web uses "cookies" to store information about visitors' preferences (such as Dark/Light mode settings). We also use third-party cookies for advertising purposes (Google AdSense) to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

3. Google DoubleClick DART Cookie

Google is a third-party vendor on our site. It also uses cookies, known as DART cookies, to serve ads to our site visitors based upon their visit to our website and other sites on the internet. However, visitors may choose to decline the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network Privacy Policy at the following URL – https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

4. How We Handle Your Files

For most tools, such as the Image Compressor, PDF tools or Diff Checker:

  • No file uploads: We do not upload the files or text you work with to our servers.
  • Local Processing: Calculations and conversions occur within your browser's memory using JavaScript and WebAssembly.
  • Temporary data: Data is not stored by us, so refreshing the page clears what the tool holds in memory. A few tools (for example the Resume Builder or 2FA Authenticator) can save data in your own browser storage, which you can clear in your browser settings.

Tools and Features That Use External Services

A few features cannot work without contacting another service. Only the information needed for that feature is sent:

  • Unit & Currency Converter: requests current exchange rates from a third-party rates service.
  • Internet Speed Test and IP Address Lookup: contact Cloudflare speed servers and third-party IP-information services, which see your IP address.
  • YouTube Thumbnail Downloader: requests the thumbnail and video details from YouTube and related image and metadata services.
  • URL Shortener: sends the link you shorten to third-party shortening services (such as is.gd and TinyURL), so do not shorten private links.
  • P2P File Transfer: uses public STUN servers to discover network addresses; files travel directly between your devices.
  • Comments: if you post a comment or attach a file, the comment and attachment are sent to our comments backend and upload service and stored there. New comments may also trigger a notification to the site operator.

5. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to request that a business that collects a consumer's personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.

6. GDPR Data Protection Rights

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the right to access, rectification, erasure, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability.

7. Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity. Trusted Tools Web does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13.

8. Consent

By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its Terms and Conditions.
